Player guide
Open beta — November 20, 2026. Launch — November 27, 2026. You can prepare the client and read the update history. The gameplay steps below are for your first login.
How to prepare for opening, where to go after logging in, what to do each day, and how the Tower, PvP, enchanting, markets and Vela Shop work. Almost everything in game is done with buttons in the Vela menu; commands are the fallback.
Install VELA for Windows and open the launcher.
Press Install. The launcher downloads the VELA client bundle and updates automatically. You do not need to find or copy patches yourself.
Russian is selected by default. You can switch the client language to English in the launcher. When the download finishes, launch the game with Play.
First steps
Download the launcher and client in advance. Open beta — November 20, 2026. Launch — November 27, 2026. Create a master account on the website (e-mail and captcha), add a game account in it and sign in to the game with that login. The first 3 days include free premium: XP, SP and loot ×1.5.
Your own 1★–2★ skills come free, your own 3★–4★ cost half of foreign ones and are never granted automatically, foreign ones cost SP and adena, so the starting class matters. Armor defines the role: robe for mages, light and heavy for fighters.
The Store window of the client main menu: twelve weapon types for 20,000 adena, armor from 10,000 per piece. After that: drops, the Forge and Upgrade in the Special Craft window.
The Newbie Buff stays active until your third rebirth: one icon with basic fighter and mage effects. Learn your own buffs in advance and build a Self-buff scheme to apply them with one button. Town auto-buff renews that scheme. Toggles stay on after death.
Up to 6 attack skills on auto (+1 per 10 rebirths). The first ready one by panel position goes first. The Auto hunting icon in the Vela window is one page, the Settings button: radius, auto loot, junk filter, return to the spot.
.menu or the Herald of Vela by the teleporter in every town: event timers, tasks of the day and nine section icons in one window.
Level to 85 → .rebirth takes you back to 20 with a rebirth point → an eternal bonus of your choice out of forty → the next lap is faster. Your class and all skills, own and foreign, stay at full power. The estimated first climb to 85 is about five hours; actual time depends on how you play.
Routine
Nothing is mandatory, but this is the fastest way to grow power and currencies. Upcoming events and the tasks of the day are in the Vela window (.menu).
PvP events — TvT, Deathmatch and Last Hero in turn: every day at 02, 06, 10 and 16; on weekdays also at 12, 19 and 22 (no 22 on Wednesday); at 14 on weekends and also at 19 on Sunday. Sign-up lasts 10 minutes: the .pvpevent command.
Tower and Arena — 3 free Tower attempts a day per account, after that the entry is expensive. Arena 1×1 fights: up to 100 Marks of Battle a day.
The tournament on Saturday at 20:00 — a 1×1 Arena knockout tournament (sign-up opens 3 days ahead).
Guild Battle — from Friday 18:00 to Sunday 20:00 your clan storms the rival's Echo defense.
Sieges of Giran and Gludio — every week; on Monday the owners get the weekly reward.
Season — the first season runs from the opening to 31 December; after that the Tower of Trials and Paths of the world restart every month. Tower rewards are paid for the first clear of a floor each season; floor leaders claim the speedrun bonus.
A new Doll of Greed — old dolls crumble, every hero 40+ gets a new +0 one.
What to farm
Zone resources feed the Forge, Upgrade and clan projects and trade freely, so old zones never die out. A resource drops from about every tenth monster of its zone, ×8 from champions, but not if your hero is 10+ levels above the monster. A rune's star equals the monster's level band.

Tower of Trials
From level 40, solo and by hand only: auto hunting switches itself off in the Tower. Every floor has its own mechanic, the same for everyone this month, so "just hitting" means losing. The first season runs from the opening to 31 December, then a new season starts on the 1st. Entry: the Tower icon in the Vela window or .tower: the window shows your floor, your time and the season leaderboard. All 100 floors are open, and after the 100th comes the Hell Tower.
Floor time is counted to 0.1 s; each open floor has its own monthly top 10 with the hero's build. A cleared floor can be replayed for time from the Tower window (no rewards). A new floor leader is announced to everyone. At the end of the month first place on a floor gives 5 Vela Shards and a stone fragment (10 and 2 in Hell), for up to 20 floors, plus the "Tower Record Holder" title for a month. Records: the Floor records button in the Tower window (.tower).
PvP and castles
Open-world PvP uses karma. Auto hunting does not initiate attacks on players; its limited self-defense is described in the wiki. Find events, the Arena, castles and class ranks with the .pvp command. Skill damage against players is cut by 60% for everyone (PvP Resilience): nobody dies to one skill.
Sieges every Sunday at 20:00. Giran is the main one: the clan gets XP and SP +8%, adena +5%; Gludio +5% / +3%. Every Monday the owner gets reputation (1500 / 800) and up to 10 members 40+ get into the Received Items window: Giran 6 Raid Marks, 2 greater stones, 20 Vela Shards; Gludio 3 / 1 / 10. One clan, one castle.
TvT → Deathmatch → Last Hero in turn: every day at 02, 06, 10 and 16; on weekdays also at 12, 19 and 22 (no 22 on Wednesday); at 14 on weekends and also at 19 on Sunday. Sign-up lasts 10 minutes. Rewards are adena: 100,000 to every TvT winner and to the best in Deathmatch; Last Hero (from level 40, no resurrection, the last one standing wins) pays 300 / 150 / 75 thousand.
Every 3rd-profession class has a hidden perk: +3% to its strong side (attack, crit, casting…) or +4% to defense, HP, MP, healing. The top three of each class by 1×1 Arena rating (10+ fights) get another +1.5 / +1 / +0.5 and a title like "#1 Duelist". Recounted hourly: the title can be lost.
Every clan member from level 40 sets his Echo as a defender. From Friday 18:00 to Sunday 20:00 clans paired by rating storm the rival's Echoes 1 on 1: 3 attacks per fighter, 3-minute fights. At least 2 defenders are needed; with no rival you face the Echo Guild of hero Echoes, with rewards at 50%. A win: reputation, Raid Marks, Vela Shards and a greater stone into the Received Items window, and +3% XP, SP and adena for 7 days. A season is 4 weeks.
Points for taking part in clan deeds: the Guild Battle, the Boss of the Day, the Tower, raids. The window shows your rank, points, the clan top and a log; the leader hands out points and puts items of the clan warehouse up for bids, where members bid points. There is a clan shop for earned points. A clan is up to 10 people.
A quest from level 76 with a third profession, no raid bosses, about 5–5.5 hours of active play: Ariadne in Aden, Olvin in Giran, Myrra in Dion, Captain Tarn in Oren. Hunting in Cruma, Dragon Valley, the Plains of the Lizardmen and the Primeval Isle (trophies are counted on screen, the quest window is .noblesse), Memory Ink for 3 million adena and zone resources, then a trial in the Hall of Memory: three waves in 10 minutes, solo. Reward: the hero's Noblesse status, a Greater Enhancement Stone, 3 Raid Marks, 50 Vela Shards. The status gives the Grace of Nobility: for an hour buffs and debuffs do not vanish on death, 1-minute reuse. The Noblesse Scroll in the Vela Shop costs 999 Vela Coins and gives the same status to one hero without the quest.
Auto hunting never attacks players: PvP is by hand only. But if you haven't touched anything for 3 minutes and someone attacks you, it answers only that first attacker: while he is close, without chasing and without karma (only if he is flagged, has karma or is from a clan at war with yours). Any input gives you control back. Off in towns, sieges, instances, events and the Arena.
"#1 of a class" by the Arena, "Tower Record Holder" and "Hell Record Holder", the crimson-named Lord of Hell. Such titles exist in one copy: you keep them until someone beats you. New leaders go to the Chronicle.
Vela enchanting
The window and scrolls are the stock Essence ones: double-click a scroll. The rules change: chance build-up, rollback instead of breaking, durability, branches and sockets — for weapons, armor and jewelry. Since October 28 talismans, bracelets, belts, brooches, agathions, cloaks, masks and circlets follow the Essence rules: a failure with a plain scroll destroys them from +0, a blessed one resets them to +0. Everything about an item: the .enchant command or the blacksmith in any town. The enchant window shows one line under the chance, "Failures in a row: 3 · chance bonus +6%", and a success comes with effects over the hero: small from +5, big from +10, huge from +15. The rate table is in the wiki.
Instead of breaking, durability (0–100) drops: a failure from +10 takes 10, from +15 takes 15. Below 50 the enchant bonus weakens, at 0 it is halved and branches fall asleep. Repair for adena in town: the Repair button or a blacksmith. Example: A +12 from 0 to 100 costs 8 million adena.
At these levels you pick a bonus for the item. Weapons: Predator (+10% crit chance), Whirlwind (+4% attack and casting speed), Hunter (+4% damage to monsters), Executioner (+5% crit damage). Armor: Bastion, Life, Wind, Fortitude. Jewelry: Ward, Source, Raider. The first pick is free, a change costs 1 / 5 / 20 million adena. No PvP branches.
Sockets use Essence's soul crystal slots. Weapons: 1st socket right away, 2nd from +5, the special one from +10; D–A armor from +3. Grade caps them: NG and D 1 socket, C and B 2, A and up 3. A crystal can be taken out for adena and comes back.
Grades and Upgrade
Seven grades — D, B, A, IV, V, VI, VII — each with its own frame colour. The next grade at +0 always beats the previous one at +5, and inside a grade an item grows by Upgrade +1…+5: no failures, no breakage. Every level is a separate item with its own “+N” badge and its own stats in the tooltip; you upgrade it with recipes of the native Special Craft window or in the upgrade window .improve.
Bonus +1.5 / 3.5 / 6 / 9 / 12.5% (grade VII up to +16%). Three ways to pay: zone resources, mixed and coins; Vela Coins are capped per week, the top of the ladder is earned by play only. Upgrading increases the properties of the selected item.
Zones are open to everyone. Recommended: a set of the previous grade at Upgrade +3 and rebirths (0 / 0 / 8 / 25 / 55 / 100). Each zone drops materials of its grade. Z8 "Halls of Epic" is for heroes who have everything: Epic Fragments, from which the epic jewelry is crafted. Three camps Z3–Z5 sit on the Special Hunting Zones button (Alt+X): dozens of monsters per circle, fights without pauses. Conditions: .gate.
Their own slot and 10 levels: up to +2% damage and defence against monsters and +6% HP. All premium hats have equal stats; a hat made for adena and Vela Shards gives 60% of it. The window: .hats.
A native window in the bag: four tattoo slots, each with an ability up to level 30. The Tattoo Master sells the booster for zone resources and adena; a try costs 10,000 adena, up to 60 tries a day. No L-Coin needed.
Chests in the Store are sold for adena with no limit; the contents are fixed and change on Fridays in Runes and Supplies. The daily L-Coin cap grows with rebirths, from 30 to 60.
Everyone earns them for active play: 10 points for every 5 minutes of fighting, casting or moving, up to 600 a day per account; premium x1.5. A hero standing in a town and offline hunting earn none. Where to spend them — in the wiki.
Everyone has it since October 26: .improve or the Upgrade tab of the hero window. Pick your item and the window shows the next step, its price by the Special Craft recipe and the stat gain; buy with Upgrade, then Confirm. Enchant, elements, soul crystals, augmentation and appearance stay. The Catalogue prices any level without owning the item; Where to get the item → Create makes the base item right there. Details in the wiki.
What every level gives and the A/B/C prices: the equipment page. Details in the wiki (Russian): grades, Store, farm zones, Hidden Power, clan DKP, World Trade, Upgrade, power zones, hats, chests, L-Coin.
Comfort
Everything below opens with the command in the card's corner or a window on the auto hunting wheel.
One shelf for every hero of the account, 120 slots, in any town. Only transferable items, 30 adena per item.
One button: by type (weapons, armor, jewelry, consumables, materials), then grade, enchant and name.
10 points of your own (+5 for Vela Coins, up to +20): a hunting spot, a raid entrance. A jump costs 10,000 adena, 3 s to prepare, not in combat.
Loot goes straight to the bag, even without auto hunting; the skip list still works, raid loot goes to the bag too (by the party rules). Party leader assist is in Auto hunting too.
Your list of up to 100 items sells at the merchant price with a button or by itself at 85% slots or 80% weight. Worn, enchanted or socketed items never.
Up to 6 rules to buy N when fewer than M remain, for potions, arrows and scrolls. Town purchases use the grocer’s price. Field purchases require the separate Supply Bag and cost 30% more. Premium does not include the bag.
In town, your scheme of learned buffs renews when an effect is missing or has under 15 minutes left. It uses MP and respects skill cooldowns. The Newbie Buff stays active until the third rebirth and needs no renewal.
From one computer, 2 windows get the full reward. From the 3rd on: XP and SP ×0.3, loot and adena −70%, no assist. A buffer or trader twink is fine.
Economy
Markets, adena sinks and the season pass. The markets are native windows of the client main menu (Alt+X).
The native Store window of the client main menu. For adena: first-grade gear, talismans and enchant scrolls, upgrade stones of every kind, the elixir and weekly chests with no limit. L-Coin buys rare 5–6★ rune seals. An Ancient Seal, if offered, opens a regular 6★ rune without an ancient bonus. Adena stays valuable and always short.
The player market of the whole server in a native window: items for adena or Vela Coins, buy orders, up to 20 lots per hero, no fee: neither a listing fee nor a sales tax. Above the list you see the item's price history — the latest deals and the average price per piece; the same numbers come with .wt price <item>. There are no auctions with bids; private stores stay.
Every hero from level 40 carries one. It is enchanted with adena only: a try costs 0.5 million × 1.5 per level, up to +3 it always succeeds, then the chance falls to 20%; a failure keeps the level. Bonus: XP and SP +1% per level up to +10, then +0.5% up to +20: +15% total. Every Monday at 06:00 it crumbles and a new +0 doll arrives; the week's best goes to the Chronicle. Rough cost: +5 ≈ 7 million, +10 ≈ 116 million. The new window shows a golden pig, now → next bonuses, a 1.2-second bar before every attempt and the weekly top; the price of a try is on the Enchant button, and “Enchant to +N” keeps trying until it gets there or the adena runs out.
Leaving the game while your hero keeps hunting needs premium. When premium ends, the hero leaves the world where he stands. Premium also gives XP, SP and loot ×1.5; teleport places and the supply bag are sold apart in the Shop of Vela. 7 days for 349 Coins of Vela, 30 days for 1199; new accounts get 3 days free.
From your phone: hero status, hunt results, the last death; raise in town, send back to the spot, turn on auto or offline hunting, log out. Telegram alerts: death, sales, events, Tower record, self-defense.
Currencies
Zone resources trade freely, personal currencies don't: you can't buy them from other players, only earn them (Vela Shards and small growth bundles are also in the Shop of Vela).
Donations
The Coin of Vela pays for optional paid features; prices are in US dollars: 100 coins = $1 (30 days of premium are 1199 coins, $11.99). L-Coin is earned in game. Premium and shop items are in the client’s main-menu Store; tabs are Growth, Comfort, Adornments, Premium and Services; .shop gives chat instructions. Players can sell Coins of Vela only in World Trade, not through direct trades, private stores or mail. Some headwear has small stat bonuses: check the catalogue before buying.
Donations speed you up and give a small, capped edge: up to +7% against monsters (up to +5% from the patron tier and +2% from premium) and up to +2.5% in PvP. Everything else is earned in game; adena is never sold.

Your hero keeps their class and learns foreign skills subject to their requirements. Select a profession in the Vela menu → Skills, then learn its skills through Alt+K. Use the Library to find skills and check requirements. Your own 1★–2★ skills are free, 3★–4★ cost half the foreign price, foreign ones cost SP and adena, and armor defines your combat role: robe, light or heavy.
At level 85 the .rebirth command takes the hero back to level 20. The class and all skills stay, and every rebirth grants one point that you spend on any of forty eternal bonuses. There is no overall or daily cap. After the 100th each rebirth needs kills in the power zones, a raid boss on the tier steps and later a Tower floor; the price in Vela Shards grows. The estimated first climb to 85 is about five hours, depending on how you play.
