VELA is a multiclass server on Lineage II Essence. You keep one hero and one class line, but you learn skills of other classes on the same hero: attacks, heals, buffs and passives are simply added to your main character. There are no subclasses to swap. The starting class and race cannot be changed for this hero.
Learning rules. Your own class gives its 1-star and 2-star skills for free as you level. Your own 3-star and 4-star skills are never granted automatically: you buy them for half of the star fee. Skills of other classes are bought for SP and adena (1 million SP also costs 500 thousand adena); the purchase gives the highest skill level available to the hero right now.

Profession changes happen at levels 20, 40 and 76; the first one needs your race tutorial chain. Rebirths keep every learned skill at full strength.
Where to learn. Open the Vela window (.menu) and the Skills icon (.learn), or the native Alt+K window. The Library searches by Russian and English names, filters by type and star, and the “Can learn” view shows only what you can buy now. The “To plan” button keeps up to 40 skills with a total price.
Limits to keep in mind. Similar foreign passives stack with diminishing returns: the strongest works in full, each next one less, and the total foreign bonus to one stat is capped; equal buffs of one family do not stack; up to four stances work at once; the weapon and armor requirements of a skill still apply; you can learn several summons but only one servant is active. Check overlaps with .stack. A foreign skill can be forgotten for 50% of the SP of its current level (Shards and Raid Marks are not returned); your own class skills cannot be forgotten.
First route. Pick a main line and its free skills; pass the start and change profession; use the “Can learn” filter for 1★–2★ purchases; the Newbie Buff lasts until your third rebirth, so prepare your own buffs. At level 85 you can be reborn: the hero returns to level 20 with class and skills intact. The first rebirth unlocks 3★, the fifth unlocks 4★.
