Beta guide: your first evening

VELA open beta begins on November 20, 2026 at 19:00 Moscow time (UTC+3). Prepare your client, meet your hero and help test the game systems.

Wipe and launch

The server launches with a wipe on . Beta characters and progress will be deleted. Accounts remain: keep your login and password.

Everything free for the test

You do not need to pay during the beta: levels, gear and Coins of Vela come from the beta manager. Payments are disabled during open beta. After the wipe on November 27 there will be no more wipes.

Install ahead of time

  1. Download and install the VELA launcher. You need Windows 10/11 and about 37 GB of free space. If Windows shows a SmartScreen warning, that is normal for a new file: what to press.
  2. Choose a separate folder for the client and let the download and updates finish. If interrupted, choose Resume or Retry.
  3. Select Russian in the launcher. A new hero gets Russian server windows by itself; to switch later, type .lang ru in the in-game chat.
  4. Create a master account on the website (Sign up), confirm the e-mail by a letter and create a game account. Once beta starts, press Play and sign in with the login and password of the game account.

Your first evening: five steps

  1. Create a hero

    Pick a race and class you want to try. Find build ideas in the multiclass guide.

  2. Complete Roien’s tutorial

    Start the tutorial with Grand Master Roien and complete his tasks.

  3. Open the Vela window

    Press the Vela button or type .menu: upcoming events with timers, tasks of the day and nine section icons. A handy place to choose your next activity.

  4. Get your test supplies in Giran

    Type .obt or find the Beta Manager in Giran on the east alley of the square. Get levels, equipment and currencies for testing from this NPC.

  5. Try the core systems

    Try the Tower and runes; learn skills from other classes with the Skills icon. Test the Guild Battle with your clan. See the player guide for details.
